Desde su aparición en la mitología, la apropiación en forma de tótems en las culturas originarias, su protagonismo en historias populares, e incluso la música… las aves están presentes en nuestra vida diaria no solo por su significado universal que conecta con nuestra imaginación y nuestra personalidad sino por su presencia funcional y ornamental.
Red & Blue es un homenaje ilustrado a estas criaturas mágicas que gobiernan todos los reinos vivos.

Blackbird
Blackbird may be welcome as a good omen or the messenger of bad news. Its dark wings give it associations with the Otherworld and the great mysteries that haunt human souls. It can fly as a messenger of death. Black is also a color associated with magic, mystics, and witches.

It is the color and song of the Bluebird that has given it the nearly universal meaning of happiness and contentment. Healers tell us that blue connects us to our Higher Self and helps open our awareness of the Divine. Mystics consider it the color of harmony, honesty, and security. Blue jays are incredibly smart and focused, and they don’t tolerate nonsense. In the wild, Blue Jay attacks any enemy with bravery and assertiveness. Bluejay becomes an emblem of opportunity and expediency. They are not picky about where they build a nest. This reminds us that if we look closely, there are many possibilities around us!

Cardinals, in nature, mate for life. They’re also homebodies staying close to home throughout the year. This gives them strong ties to devotion, nurturing, and love.
