Transcending after death

Birds, the epitome of freedom, lightness and conquerors of higher frontiers find death in many painful ways: crashing on buildings, eaten by predators, drop by cold weather, fallen from their nests…

I created this eulogy to find solace in the harmony of their existence, a testament to the eternal dance of life, where every flight, every fall, and every transformation embodies the essence of transcendence itself.

Symbols of freedom

In the symphony of existence, birds are the virtuosos of freedom, dancing through the skies with the elegance of dreams, embodying the essence of liberty itself. Yet, within the tapestry of their flight, lies a poignant truth – their mortality, intertwined with the cycle of life and death.

Every plummeted avian silhouette on city streets, every half-eaten feathered warrior devoured by predators, or every gentle songster surrendered to the whims of nature’s harshness, unveils a solemn narrative. It’s a narrative that echoes the fragility of life, a reminder that even the most spirited beings are not exempt from the inevitable embrace of mortality.

Substenance for life

Amidst this portrayal of demise, there’s a profound beauty woven into the fabric of their existence. These celestial beings, once adorned with the vibrant hues of life, continue their journey even in death.

Their final act transcends the boundaries of their demise; they become the sustenance for other life forms, breathing vitality into the intricate web of the ecosystem.

Perpetual Cycles

In their passing, they offer themselves selflessly, metamorphosing into fragments of a greater whole, merging with the very environment they once traversed. Their essence lingers in the songs of the morning, in the rustle of leaves, and in the flight of their kin, a testament to the perpetual cycle of life and death.

Perhaps, in their sacrifice, lies a profound lesson for humanity – a poignant reminder to embrace our impermanence. Just as the birds gracefully succumb to nature’s call, we, too, are transient beings, part of a grander design beyond our comprehension.
